Baked Beans with Capsicum, Mushrooms and Avocado

Delicious breakfast on a savory side


  • 425 g Baked Beans (Classic Can)

  • ½ Red Onion

  • 2 Cloves Garlic

  • 5 Mushrooms

  • ¼ Red Capsicum

  • ¼ Yellow Capsicum

  • ¼ Green Capsicum

  • ½ tsp Thyme

  • ½ tsp Turmeric

  • 1 dash Himalayan Salt

  • 1 dash Black Pepper

  • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil

  • 1 Brown Bread (slice)

  • ½ Avocado


  • In a frying pan add coconut oil, onion and garlic. Sauté until you smell the fragrance from the garlic. Don’t fry it to long because garlic can burn very easily and food will become bitter, which we don’t want. Add capsicums and mushrooms. Stir very often. Add can of baked beans and thyme, turmeric, salt and pepper. Cook it for a few minutes until all ingredients nicely combine.
    Serve baked beans with a slice or two of toasted brown bread, topped with delicious avocado.


  • HEALTHY TIP: When you are using turmeric always combine it with a dash of black pepper. Black pepper will help absorb the turmeric and its amazing benefits.
