Chickpeas Hummus with Veggie Sticks

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chickpeas (or can)

  • 1 Clove of Garlic

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

  • ½ tsp Cumin powder

  • ½ tsp Himalayan Pink Salt

  • 1 tsp Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

  • 2 tbsp Tahini (sesame paste)

  • 23 tbsp Water

  • ½ tsp Paprika (smoked is a good choice)

  • 1 dash Cayenne pepper or chili flakes

  • 1 Carrot

  • 1 stick Celery

  • 1 Cucumber

Directions

  • Blend everything (except veggies) in a food processor until smooth and creamy. You can add a bit more of water or olive oil. If you don’t like it spicy just don’t add chili and cayenne pepper.
  • Serve your creamy hummus with sliced carrot, cucumber or celery sticks. Hummus is also delicious as a spread on vegan sandwiches and tortilla wraps.
