Try this short but super intense 5 min Bikini Abs torture. You will feel your core burning and crying for help.
My advice, as personal trainer, is that you train your abs as often as possible. Every other day is totally ok, if you are not too sore in your core area. You have to know that abs are muscles as any other and if you really feel them sore, then wait until you recover. If you are engaging your core with every exercise you do, then you might not even need to do any separate core work.
