Having a solid morning routine is actually very important and all successful people usually have some kind of morning routine. It will help you structure and design your day. At the same time it will help you to evolve on a different levels and help you grow as a person.
Today i am sharing with you my 5 am Morning Routine called Power Hour. This first hour of my day (5-6 am) is the most powerful and the strongest routine I have ever created for myself. It covers the elements of physical, mental and emotional levels, which changed my life in the shortest amount of time.
I’ve been practicing this specific morning routine for about 2 month now and since then a lot of things has changed. My anxiety is gone, my mind is more peaceful and positive and, in general, my day has a sense of a deeper meaning.
I divide my Power Hour into 3 sections where each section is practiced for 20 min.
5:00-5:20 – MORNING YOGA & 20 MIN WORKOUT
I start with my Yoga practice since this calming method of exercise is missing in my life. If you would prefer doing your workout, then i suggest you start with 20 min of workout of your choice (Body Power, Tabata, HIIT CARDIO since those are series usually done around 20 min)
5:20-5:40 – MEDITATION
After yoga i meditate and i try to go deeper into the spheres of the Universe and soul search (Quan Yin Method of meditation). I’ve been doing meditation for a very long time, since 2004, and it changed my life. If you do not have a specific meditation guidance then you can focus on my Guided Meditations.
5:40-6:00 – JOURNALING & CONTEMPLATION
The last part is dedicated to writing and contemplating where i write about my Highlights of the previous days, planing Today’s work, practicing Gratitude and focusing on my future Goals and Visions. This method truly changed my life for better and since then things started to shift into different directions.
- If you will start with a workout, then writing comes next and at the end is your meditation.
- You do not have to wake up at 5 am like me. But i do suggest you wake up 1 hour before your usual wake up time, simply to make time for you and yourself only. If you do have kids, you know taking time for yourself can be very tricky and as a busy moms and dads, we sometimes forget about us.
I hope you will give this method a try and let me know what you think of it.
Love, Maya
